Dr Geoff Brown

Geoff Brown qualified as a veterinarian in 2008 and spent two years in rural mixed practice before returning to university to specialise in animal reproduction. He completed a Master of Veterinary Medicine (MMedVet Gyn) in 2015, followed by a PhD in 2020.

From 2011 to 2023, Geoff worked as a clinician at the Faculty of Veterinary Science at Onderstepoort, where he was actively involved in clinical work, teaching, and research. In 2024, he founded Bestbred to pursue his passion for reproductive biology and assisted reproduction in domestic animals.

Geoff is an experienced veterinary clinician, researcher, and educator. He is a creative problem-solver who enjoys exploring complex issues in animal health and reproduction, often through research and writing.

He is married to Megan, who is also a veterinarian. Outside of work, Geoff enjoys reading, woodworking, and road running.
